Join LERA on Saturday, October 24, 2026, for a presentation from April Gardner on Layered Reaction Blocks, which is her technique for using Deep POV for strong emotional responses. She has a five beat process for creating that deep POV within the character that also resonates inside the reader — something important for voice, reader connection, and immersion in your story.
April has published 19 books and counting over the course of a decade. For every one of those books, she’s used this system. It hasn’t let her down yet. She writes character-driven historical romance and biblical fiction. Readers comment on how intimately they connect with her POV characters. She has also written the non-fiction books Body Beats To Build On and Dialogue Descriptors To Build On. Those books are the foundational inspiration for this workshop.
The chapter meeting will begin 11am (Mountain Time) with the program scheduled to begin at 11:30am (Mountain Time). As usual, this will be a hybrid meeting, meaning you can attend in-person at Bear Canyon Senior Center, 4645 Pitt Street NE, Albuquerque or via Zoom.
